David and Norma Hamilton have served as directors of Lake Placid Conference Center and have managed the facilities since 1978.

David began his ministry in 1969 pastoring his home church, Morgantown Assemblies of God, until 1972. He was ordained in October of 1972 and continued his ministry as a Pastor in Greentown (1972-1976) and Connersville (1976–1978). During his years serving as pastor, David finished several remodeling projects (including classroom facilities and parsonages) and completed a new church sanctuary while in Connersville. While serving as pastor, he also completed two full years at Indiana University working towards a business accounting degree.

During their pastoring years, David and Norma always attended Lake Placid during camps and served as counselors, dishwashers, etc. Little did they know that God was developing a passion in their hearts for a mission field in the State of Indiana.

In 1978 David and Norma continued their call to ministry and took the position as Director of Lake Placid Conference Center. Their assignment and charge was to change the image from a seasonal camp ground to a fulltime year-around Conference Center. While serving as Director, David has obtained several certifications through the State of Indiana and Ivy Tech for heating and air and semi-public water programs. They have just completed 27 years of full time ministry at Lake Placid.

Norma serves along side David and has the responsibilities of Event Coordinator and oversees the cleaning staff and food service.

David and Norma have been married for 40 years and have two daughters, Dawn and Robin, and are the proud grandparents of four beautiful grandchildren, Jacob, Sidney, Saylor, and Gretchen.
